Welcome to the web site for members of CWUSI (Cricket Wellington Umpires & Scorers Inc).  The latest news is available here, as well as a calendar of events, and links to training material and other resources.

The new laws of cricket

The MCC laws of cricket 2017 code launches officially on 1 October 2017.  This means that the new laws are in play from day one of the new season.  There is significant change to some laws, that affect both umpiring and scoring.  To that end, we are running weekly training classes during September.  These will be weekly at the usual venue starting at 7.00 pm on Thursday 7 September and will go through until mid-October and the start of the season.

The MCC have published two documents: (a) the new Laws of Cricket in full; (b) a summary of the changes.  Both these documents are available on our Training Material page.

NZCUSA Conference 2017

It is that time of year that we start thinking about the NZCUSA conference.  This year Northern Districts are the host association, and they have chosen Hamilton as their venue.  The dates are 25th to 27th August.

2017 is a key point in time for umpires and scorers with the major rewrite of the laws of cricket. The new law will play a significant part in the programme for the weekend. Please register for this conference, as it will prove to be very useful (and social).

Details can be found on the NZCUSA web page, and the conference registration form is also available online.
